Meet the Editors

Abigail Taber (she/her)

Editor-in-Chief

Abigail Taber is a junior triple major in English, Literary Publishing and Editing, and Women’s Studies with a minor in philosophy. Beyond The Laurel, Abbey is the president of SBU College Democrats, the Editing chair of Her Campus, Vice President of SBU Book Club, a Writing Lab tutor, and a volunteer at the SBU Food Pantry. In her free time, Abbey enjoys reading, hanging out with her roommates, and finding time to be outside. Her current favorite book is Stoner by John Williams.

Noella Policastro (she/her)

Social Media Coordinator

Noella Policastro is a senior majoring in Cybersecurity. Aside from The Laurel, Noella is Captain of the Badminton Club. She is involved in both basketball intramural, and Psychology Club. She also works in the library. In her free time, Noella enjoys playing basketball, videogaming, and going to the gym. She is excited to contribute to the social media aspects of The Laurel again this year.

AnnMarie Truesdell (she/her)

AnnMarie Truesdell is a freshman Literary Publishing and Editing major with a minor in Psychology. She is involved with writing for Her Campus. In her spare time, AnnMarie enjoys reading, writing, photography, and being out in nature. Some of her favorite books include Suzanne Collins’s The Hunger Games series, and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab.

Rose Pfeiffer

Fiction/Art Editor

Rose Pfeiffer is a junior Literary Publishing and Editing major and English minor. She is involved in Film Club, Break the Bubble, SPECTRUM Alliance, and Astronomy Club. She picked up making earrings over the summer. Rose loves drawing and writing too! Rose’s favorite genre is fantasy, but she also loves a good mystery

Brooke Johnpier (she/her)

Fiction/Page Editor

Brooke Johnpier is a junior Sports Media major with a double minor in Native American and Indigenous Studies and English. Aside from The Laurel, Brooke is a published author of two juvenile historical fiction books.. Her favorite book is The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

Vivian Bozuhoski is a freshman Childhood and Early Childhood Education major. Outside of The Laurel, she is involved in BEA, SBU@SPCA, ASIA, Book Club, and College Democrats. In her free time, she likes to work out, watch movies, and play volleyball. Her favorite book is Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech.

Melinda Wohler

Editor

Melinda is a Freshman majoring in Literary Editing and Publishing. Outside of writing, she is involved in Art Club, and the mediums she enjoys most are painting and sculpture. Her favorite type of books involves mystery with a supernatural twist.

Cait Gangi
(she/her)

Poetry Editor

Cait Gangi is a Freshman majoring in English and minoring in Music. She is very excited to edit for the Laurel, as well as participate in clubs like the College Democrats, Silver Wolves, Theatre, and Spectrum, among others. Outside of school and extracurriculars, she enjoys drawing, writing, singing, and watching NASCAR. Her favourite book (at the moment) is The First To Die At The End by Adam Silvera.

Riley Dziedzic (they/them)

Riley Dziedzic is a freshman majoring in cybersecurity. Aside from the laurel, Riley is a part of the SBU book club, College Dems, Spectrum, Crim Club, and volunteers at the SBU food pantry. In their free time, Riley enjoys crafting and reading; their favorite genres are horror, thriller, and fantasy.
